I got a quote from Rick Warren the other day, on Twitter of all places. It read: "It takes no faith to trust God when He is obviously moving. Real faith is holding on and believing when God SEEMS absent!" What a statement that is. How many times in your life has God felt absent to you?
If you think about it, it is really easy to be on fire for God when you feel Him moving in your life but what about the times when it feels like He is AWOL?
I have those times myself and it really makes me reflect on how little faith I have during those times. In spite of me, though, God always is there to comfort me and to show me His unending Grace. I imagine the people of Haiti are wondering where God is but we are already seeing how God's people are responding in amazing ways. What little those people had is gone.
I believe God is moving in powerful ways down there and I look forward to seeing what a full blown outbreak of the Holy Spirit is going to do to revive that country. I love the verse when God says "Be still and know that I AM God." When we are still we see that God has been there all along.
